Does Car Insurance Cover stolen GPS?
- 365 POINTSview profileMichael ChrobakInsurance Agent, Farmers Insurance, San Francisco Bay AreaMost auto insurance policies will have a section of coverage listed as "Additional Installed Equipment". If the GPS was installed in the vehicle, versus being window mounted, it may be covered. If your policy does not include this coverage, then it most likely would not be covered. The best way to answer this would be to have a licensed insurance agent in your area review your policy to best determine what is and what is not covered.Answered on May 20, 2014flag this answer

If you have a Homeowners, a Condo Unit Owners or a Rental Insurance policy, then coverage would be available from one of those, subject, of course to your deductible. If on the other hand, your GPS is factory installed in your car, then it is likely that your car insurance would cover such a loss, again subject to your policy deductible.Answered on May 23, 2014flag this answer
