Do I Need Optional Insurance When Renting A Car?
- 16470 POINTSview profileDavid OsgoodAgent, Rural Mutual Insurance Co., Union Grove, WIIf you want to properly protect yourself then yes. Your regular auto insurance will typically extend your liability coverage to any vehicle that you driving. It will not however provide any physical damage coverage for the rented vehicle. The optional insurance will typically provide some physical damage coverage and also coverage for the rental company's lost revenues and other expenses that you would be responsible for if the vehicle was damaged and you did not have the coverage.Answered on October 29, 2013flag this answer
