If you own a vehicle and do not have auto insurance and operate that vehicle without coverage you open yourselft up to potential fines and/or suspensions. You also open yourself up to possible financial hardship should you be involved in an accident that you are deemed at fault for.Answered on September 14, 2013flag this answer

However, there are a few insurance companies that will insure you and a vehicle if you have a permit and you own a vehicle. If you are driving the vehicle you own with a licensed driver you will be able to legally operate your vehicle and have it insured in your name.Answered on October 22, 2013flag this answer
