Can Two Unmarried People Share Car Insurance?
- 37376 POINTSview profileDavid G. Pipes, CLU®, RICP®Business Development Officer, T.D. McNeil Insurance Services, Fresno, CaliforniaCar insurance follows the car. It is based on the household attached to the car. Every licensed driver in the household should be included on the policy or excluded by endorsement. If two unmarried person occupy the same household, the cars attached to that household will include both as drivers. The policy will probably name the registered owner of the car as the primary insured but can name the other driver as a secondary insured.Answered on May 19, 2014flag this answer
