    Absolutely not!  It is illegal and an agent could lose his license and contract with a company if he would backdate a car insurance policy.  The only reasons for backdating a policy would be to either cover an accident or to provide proof of insurance for a specific time frame.  Otherwise, why pay for something you did not use?
