If you are in arrears for any portion of your auto insurance premium it is possible that the carrier may turn your account over to a collections agency which may in turn adversely affect your credit rating. Auto insurance carriers to the best of my knowledge currently do not report any information to the credit agencies.Answered on October 29, 2013flag this answer
