Which Annuity Company Is Best?
- 21750 POINTSview profileJim WinklerCEO/Owner, Winkler Financial Group, Houston, TexasThat is a great question! There are a ton of companies out there that offer annuity products. Is there one that is "best"? That depends a lot upon what your specific needs are, and what you are wanting to have the annuity do for you. Here's what I'd tell you to look for - a solid financial rating, as indicated by a company like Standard & Poors; One that has a good reputation, and financial reserves; and one with a low record of complaints and issues, which you can find on your States' Department of Insurance site. I have a few companies that I will recommend, depending upon what my clients are looking for, so I don't really have a "best" one to suggest to you. Find a good independent agent, and have them walk you through some options. Inbox me, if you have trouble, okay? Thank you for asking!Answered on December 6, 2014flag this answer

When looking at annuity options the annuity should be customized to each individual situation. There are hundreds of companies that offer hundreds of annuities. The best annuity is the one that matches your current budget and pays the most for your retirement. The ultimate goal of any annuity is to provide the maximum amount of money for retirement for the annuitant and any applicable beneficiaries. If you want to see the best options available for you contact an independent agent. Independent agents are able to work for more companies and provide you with the best options. Captive agents are only allowed to offer the products of the one company they for which they are employed.Answered on May 5, 2015flag this answer
