    If you are sued, call your insurance company immediately. If there is damage to your property that requires immediate attention, file a claim with the company. This is particularly important with water damage or any damage the affects the integrity of the home. If the situation isn’t urgent discuss the loss with your agent before filing a claim. If the claim is minor it might be better to forgo the claim and enjoy a further premium discount for being “claims free.”
