   Health insurance on newborn's is pretty much the same as for any age child.
   
   Most policies will cover the child from birth if they are added on to the parents policy within the specified time frame (usually 30 days). The health insurance plan will cover injury or illness of the newborn as well as most routine check ups and inoculations
