As of January 1, 2014 Pre-existing conditions is not permitted to be included in any underwriting of health insurance.  In other words health insurance is guarantee issue and you cannot be turned down for any medical issues.

You can purchase health insurance using an insurance agent at no cost to you, directly from a carrier or through the new health insurance marketplaces.  The cost of health insurance is the same whereever you decide to purchase it.

As a certified and licensed agent I would recommend using an agent who can assist you with any issues that may arise with your health insurance. It is always good to have a trusted advisor at your side.

That is a great question! One of the really great things about the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is that health insurers can no longer deny you coverage because of a pre-existing condition. You find a policy at the www.healthcare.gov site that you like, (go there first, because another great perk of the ACA is that if you qualify, you get help paying for it!) and enroll. Another really good thing that Obamacare has done for you? It is made the insurance companies remove the lifetime caps on how much they will pay for your health care.  Thanks for asking!

You can apply for health insurance with a pre-existing condition and get quickly approved. Obamacare (ACA Legislation) provided guarantee-issue policies and federal tax subsidies.

But where do you go to get the best advice, prices and recommendations? An experienced broker and their website. That is your best resource. There are no fees or costs.

Although healthcare . gov is available, most consumers and experienced healthcare employees realize that the glitches, delays and security breeches of the government website are a burden that is unnecessary when applying for a policy. Also, you can NOT view, compare or purchase an "off-Exchange" plan through the government website.
