   Medicare covers 3 types of "lift chairs" -3 position, infinite lift, and zero gravity. Medicare only pays for the "lifting mechanism". Each company may cover this item in varying degrees. I would suggest that you go the dealer you wish to purchase this item through and let them interface with your insurance company to tell you how much your company is going to cover and how much you will have to pay. The possibility of medicare covering this item in full is small
