Court costs are often between $150 and $200 dollars. In addition to the fines for driving without insurance, the state of Kentucky can cancel your car registration if you do not have insurance. Insurance companies provide a list of insured drivers to the state. If the state does not receive notification that you have insurance for 60 days, they will send a notice to provide evidence of coverage.
