Generally there is no cash value in term life insurance. If you cash in your term life insurance policy, your coverage ends. There may be return of premiums at the end of the contract if that rider was selected. If the term life insurance policy can be converted to a permanent cash value policy, it may have value on the life settlement market.

Can you cash in term life insurance? Outside of a refund of unapplied premium, there is no cash values to be found in a true term policy. There are return of premium term policies (not so much anymore) that if you hold to maturity will return all the premiums paid into the policy. Some of the very old term policies also had cash values, but in the last 50 years no.
