   Most of the U.S.

   Medicare kicks in two years (24 months) after receiving Social Security Disability benefits. Of course, it will be a while after suffering the disability until SSDI is received.
   
   If you turn 65 years old before the two years are up, you can start receiving Medicare at age 65.
