The "best place" to buy life insurance is from a trusted advisor that represents multiple carriers.

You can buy life insurance through the mail, direct from a carrier or from an online agency. If your needs are simple, and you only need term life insurance for a specific need and time frame, buying online is fine if you do not have medical issues.

Where is the best place to buy life insurance? In Washington state it would be my office of course! ;) Actually the best place to buy life insurance can vary. It could be online, on the phone or at an office. What you're looking for is a agent who can answer your questions in such a way that you understand it.

The agents role is not to speak to you in such a way that you are left scratching your head later over what was said.  Big words, fancy charts do not make a good agent. A good agent translates the information you want into a way you understand, a poor one speaks over your head and bluffs their way through.

I knew of an agent who used to produce a boiler plate document that was about two pounds of paper, of which two pages were actually about the client. The rest was fluff. He made a lot of sales that way because the clients were impressed by the volume presented, not the quality of information.

The best place to buy is the place that actually answers your questions in a way that you understand and reduces the background noise as best as possible.

The best place to buy life insurance is from a trusted licensed life insurance agent.  If you don’t have an agent, get a recommendation from your friends, colleagues or neighbors.  A competent agent will listen to you, provide sound financial advice and communicate clearly with you and the insurance company.  Matching your needs with your budget is the agent’s primary job.

The best place to buy is somewhere that you can get good advice from an agent that you trust. Also its important that the agent you use has access to multiple insurance companies and not just one. This will play a huge role if you are rated for health reasons and need to look at other insurance companies that might offer you a better rate. This will also allow your agent to shop the best carriers for you and determine who has the best value for your age, health, and the amount of coverage you are looking to buy.

That is a great question! Honestly, the best place to buy a policy is from an independent agent, one that feels trustworthy to you. You don't want to buy one through the internet, because the quote engines are designed to give you the "best case scenario" price, and often a not realistic one, and often don't have any way to answer your questions. A live agent working at a name brand office is better, as they can talk you through the pricing, and answer questions, but they are limited to offering only what their company sells. An independent agent like myself has several different companies that we work with, and can often find a better policy for you because of the increased options to look at. So always look for a live person to work with, one who can answer your questions, and get you the best policy for you. Thanks for asking!
