It may if you have an equipment breakdown rider on the policy. Your renters policy provides coverage for your personal property in the event of a covered loss and liability protection in case of an accident occurring in your residence that you are deemed responsible for. Always remember every policy is different. Read your policy completely to know what is covered and what is excluded or contact your local agent to have them go over the policy with you.
