The MPFS or Medicare Physician Fee Schedule is provided by CMS. There are a couple ways to access MPFS. Visit www.cms.gov and choose the tab that says MEDICARE. The next step is to select Physician Fee Schedule.

On the Physician Fee Schedule page, the first item in the left margin is the Physician Fee Schedule Look-Up Tool. Select the Physcian Fee Schedule Look-Up Tool and it will display directions on how to use the searchable database.

The Look-Up Tool allows you to search payment amounts, RVUs (relative value units), and procedure codes. You can also view the national payment amount, the payment amount for a specific Carrier, or the payment amount in a specific location.

The published Physician Fee Schedule Look-Up Tool is updated quarterly and provides information on more than 10,000 physician and non-physician practitioner services.
