Medigap insurance is another name for med-supplemental insurance one in the same. You can apply three months prior to your 65 th birthday. You must have your card from parts A and B of Medicare to use on the application. You can apply all the way to 3 months after your 65 th birthday. So the total window is 6 months of course its not effective till the day of your birthday.
