Medicare covers testing for eye conditions if suspected (not as part of a routine exam), treatment for eye conditions that are a result of illness or injury, intraocular lenses following cataract surgery, one pair of glasses after cataract surgery, glaucoma screening for those with risk factors, and eye prosthesis for absent or shrinking eye. Medicare does not normally cover routine eye exams, testing or eyeglasses.
