		<description><![CDATA[Medicare will cover vaccines and immunizations that help prevent influenza (the flu), Pneumonia, and Hepatitis B (for those at risk) - you would generally not be not be subject to any deductible, coinsurance, or copayments if your provider accepts assignment (accepting the Medicare approved amount as payment in full).&#160;For doctors who do not accept assignment, they may charge you an excess charge - Medicare supplement plans F &#038; G can cover these charges for you.

Some other shots can be covered by Medicare for other situations such as getting bitten by a dog and receiving a rabies shot or stepping on a rusty nail and getting a tetanus shot.
