		<description><![CDATA[As of 2011, Medicare started covering an initial &quot;Welcome to Medicare&quot; exam and annual &quot;Wellness&quot; exams. Neither of these require the patient to undress and do not include a full physical exam from head to toe. Sometimes an EKG or scan for abdominal aortic aneurysm done at these exams will be covered by Medicare.

A &quot;Preventative&quot; exam is most like what is normally considered to be a physical. Medicare does not pay for preventative exams.]]></description>
