The easiest way to enroll in Medicare is to go to the social security website, ssa.gov, and complete the application process on their website. I believe you click on the "benefits" tab and then click on Apply for Medicare. From there the website should provide step-by-step directions to complete the process. If you're applying under a special enrollment period (as opposed to your initial open enrollment period when turning age 65), it will generally be better to complete the application process at your local social security administration office to make sure you receive the correct effective date for your Medicare program.
