The cost of the care will also depend on whether it&#039;s an inpatient or outpatient procedure, the percentage of cost Medicare will cover, etc. I would make sure to have a Medigap plan in place to cover the costs that Medicare doesn&#039;t pay for (e.g. if Medicare covers 80% of the expenses, the plan would cover the other 20% if it&#039;s a plan F or G - that 20% can be a very high dollar figure if you paid it yourself).
