		<description><![CDATA[No, exercise equipment is not covered under Medicare Part B as medical durable equipment, because exercise equipment is not considered a medical expense by Medicare. In order for any equipment to be reimbursed by Medicare, it must be considered medically necessary for the health of the Medicare patient using it.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Medicare does cover Durable Medical Equipment, however, exercise equipment would most likely not be covered.  DME is most often things like wheelchairs, hospital beds, oxygen equipment, nebulizers and the like.  In most cases, Medicare will pay 80% and you would be responsible for 20%.  Depending on the plan you choose, the 20% would be covered by your Medigap policy.  To find out for sure, call 1-800-MEDICARE.]]></description>
