Medicare and the Affordable Health Care Act plans are separate. The rates paid by Medicare for services to providers (physicians, hospitals etc.) are laws and regulations which change from time to time. When Medicare payments get too low, providers can refuse service to Medicare recipients. The Supreme Court has decided that the Affordable Health Care Act is a tax. Medicare is a benefit.

The short answer to your question is NO. The Affordable Care Act does not cut checks to your doctors. The ACA is a law that was passed so all Americans can have access to healthcare no matter if they have pre-existing conditions or not. It makes everyone even and no health questions are asked now other than do you use tobacco products and are you male or female and age. The purpose of the Marketplace that was developed by the government was so people could come to one place and search for heath insurance from all of the insurance companies in their area for plans that meet the new law, apply for a subsidy to help pay for the insurance, and choose their plan. If eligible for a subsidy then the government pays the insurance company the amount you qualified for and they subtract that from the cost of the insurance or you can get the subsidy when ever you file your taxes.
