Yes. Medigap plans are not subject to annual enrollment periods that you see with Medicare Advantage and Part D prescription drug plans. You could even change it more than once a year if you wanted to.

Since Medigap plans are standardized, a plan F from company A is the EXACT same plan F from company B. The only difference between the two is the price you pay, which is why many people change their plans often so they can make sure they're paying the lowest possible rate for their coverage.

I hope the information is helpful - please feel free to contact me for help, including quotes and plan comparisons, and if you have any other questions. Thanks very much.

Unlike Medicare Advantage plans, there is no "open enrollment" period every year for Medigap plans. Issuance of these policies is not guaranteed accept when you are "aging iin" to Medicare benefits at age 65, or later if you first become eligible to make Medicare "primary" because your employer provided heath insurance has continued.

That being said, however, you can apply for a new Medigap plan every year if you are healthy enough to satisfactorily answer the questions in the insurance application. Be careful though..pre-existing conditions may not be covered right away.
