To appeal a Long Term Care Insurance denial or Life Insurance denial, you must first find out the reason for the denial. It may simply be that the company was unable to secure a certain set of medical records, and thus could not make a decision based on lack of information. You might be able to track down those medical records and be able to be approved.

Or, your medical records or MIB may state your health in a mistaken way. You may be able to do additional testing to disprove that, or get an informative letter from your doctor stating the correct information. This can be submitted directly to the underwriter and/or to the MIB to get your information there corrected.
