Life insurance applications ask about STD's but the blood and urine tests do not test for sexually transmitted diseases, per se. If there are abnormal lab values combined with a yes answer about STD's on the application, the underwriter might order medical records in order to gain more information and find out if the STD is a serious health risk. If not, the presence of an STD will generally not have an effect on life insurance rates.

To the best of my knowledge every carrier will at least ask about STD's during the application process. The only way to receive an accurate rate for your policy premium is to answer all of the questions as truefully as possible.
