Condominiums are usually covered under a form that is somewhat different from a homeowner’s policy. The condominium association is responsible for the exterior of the building and common areas. As a condominium resident you are responsible for the interior. That means that you need very little building coverage. The Condominium policy provides personal property coverage and liability coverage along with medical payments, loss of use and other coverages. Setting those limits is critical as the time of loss is not the time to discover that your insurance is inadequate.
