Homeowners Insurance is defined as the form to provide coverage to the Primary Residence of the Titled Owner of a property. Homeowners Insurance is most commonly written either on a Single Family Residence or for a Townhome or Condominium Unit.

Depending on the insurance carrier, it may also be possible for a Homeowners Insurance Policy to be written on a duplex if one of the units is occupied by the owner. The most common policy is offered on the Form HO-3 (Homeowners Special Form), this policy covers residential homes; Form HO-6 (Townhome/Condo Form) is written to cover the interior of condo units or townhome units where the exterior is covered by a Master Building Policy.

There is also a Homeowners Form available for Renters (Form HO-4), this form will provide coverage for renters of homes, condos, townhomes and apartments; it provides personal contents coverage, loss of use, and personal liability.

For homes that are being offered for rent by the owner, a Landlords Policy would be necessary; this will provide coverage to tenant occupied properties including coverage to the dwelling and premises liability to protect the owner.

There is a link providing an online format to obtain a quote and buy home insurance online in multiple States; it may be used by Escrow/Closing Professionals, Mortgage Professionals, Real Estate Agents and directly by Consumers. An exemplary online experience for all! https://hda.stillwaterinsurance.com
