Here is the answer.... YOU DON'T.

Why Gray? Let me explain. A GREAT agent asks a TON of questions about your home. We even ask for photos BEFORE we quote. I want to see every room for features like: tile, hard wood, custom features, crown molding, granite counter tops, custom showers, & MORE. The industry uses a "replacement cost calculator" to come up with accurate figures for your replacement cost.

If you call an agent and they don't ask a lot of questions.... RUN. You will be very sorry once a claim is filed. A great agent wants to know all the details about your home so it is insured correctly. Have any questions? Reach out. - gravy

It is almost impossible to guess because insurance companies are so different as well as the coverages. I would call your insurance broker and get him/her to explain the differences between cost vs benefits. If you ever have any questions, I am always here by email or by phone.

The easiest way to estimate the premium for a homeowner’s policy is to either contact an agent and get a price, or ask neighbors whose homes are similar to yours. Ultimately a homeowner’s policy is tailored to your unique home so getting a quote from an agent is the most precise way.
