Talk to your Insurance Professional about the specific terms and conditions of your policy paying particular attentio to the things that are cvered as well as the perils that are excluded from coverage. If by natural disaster you are referring to say a wild fire for example, then since loss due to fre is a covered peril in a standard Homeowners policy, yes, there would be coverage. If on the other hand you are talking about an earthquake or a flood, then no, a standard policy excludes thes. You may be able to request coverage for earth movement as an endorsement to your policy but only a separate Flood INsurance policy will provide coverage for such a loss.

But no homeowners insurance policy covers the naturally occurring disasters of flood (rising ground water entering your home) and earthquake is not automatically included coverage in many states. Your insurance professional can guide you in securing the coverage you need, the coverage you want and an understanding of what is and what is not covered.
