Dog bites would be covered under the liability portion of your homeowners policy. Dog bites have become a big deal over the last several years and dog bite can be a very expensive loss in some cases. You would need to check with your specific insurance company to see if your breed of dog is covered should a dog bit occur. All agents should be having this discussion with the client before purchasing a policy.
