It may. Talk to your Insurance Professional about the terms and conditions of your policy. If for example, yoo have a tree that you KNEW was severely diseased or dead and did nothing about removing it. If a storm came up and blew that tree down and onto your neighbor's home or cars, then you very well could be considered negligent in maintaining your property and therefore it might be possible that coverage would be found in the Liability portion of your policy. Change that to a perfectly healthy tree. The storm comes up and there are embedded micro bursts that simply knock the tree over and onto the neighbor's home or cars. In that scenario, you are more than likely not liable for the damage because there would be no negligence on your part.

Nearly all homeowners insurance policies have a personal liability amount attached to it. Look for that on your policy. Usually it will be somewhere between $100,000 - 500,000. This amount will protect you from damage to others. If after you have viewed your policy and still can not find it please give me a call and I will be happy to help you out.
