Your homeowner’s insurance policy covers damage, not maintenance. If the window leaks because of damage and the damage were caused by a covered peril (listed in the policy,) then the company will be liable for the claim and will adjust the claim by determining the loss and subtracting your deductible. You should be aware that water damage from water outside the home is subject to some exclusion and you might want to consult your agent before filing a claim.

You really have to look at your policy and file a claim to find out. However, typically policies either list the perils that it covers or list open peril coverage with what it excludes. Your window leak may be covered if caused by a covered peril. The proxmiate cause would have to be determined. However, you may want to compare the cost to fix the problem with your deductible, if it is under your deductible amount it makes no sense to even attempt to file a claim. As always ask your local insurance agent for advice specific to your state.
