Business' with 51 or more full-time employees (FTE) are required to offer health insurance benefits that meet the essential benefits requirements and also meet the premium/affordability guidelines set by the government. If the companies do not offer benefits they are subject to harsh tax penalties.

Smaller business with 50 or fewer full-time employees are not subject to the rules and can forego coverage without being penalized.

Moving forward there will be a shift in small group plans offering defines contribution plans as a way to reduce company costs on health insurance.

For more information on group benefits visit www.clminsure.com or call 561-320-2978
