		<description><![CDATA[Now that most of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Also called Obamacare) has been implemented, there isn&#039;t really a waiting period, but you can only buy health insurance at the end of each year for the following year, so for example you can apply in November or December for coverage starting in January.   Or, if you have one of several qualifying events you can apply for new coverage.  Those qualifying events may include loss of a job, loss of current insurance coverage, divorce, marriage.  Feel free to email me with specifics about what you are looking for at &lt;a href=&quot;mailto:dbeukel1@amfam.com&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;dbeukel1@amfam.com&lt;/a&gt;  ]]></description>
