If you want specific features on your plan such as low deductible or Max Out of Pocket, Vision included or alternative care options plans will be more expensive. Depending on income your kids might qualify for a State/Federal subsidized plan, even if you do not.

Remember that the pre-condition exclusion has been lifted so ANYONE can get on a health plan with no regards to the condition of their health.

With ACA in place you need to check to make sure that the plan you choose has an embedded Dental plan, or purchase one separately to avoid the new fines.  All kids must be enrolled on an ACA qualified Pediatric Dental plan or parents will have to pay a fine.
