		<description><![CDATA[You can have your stepchildren under your health insurance plan in addition to your biological children and persons you are a legal guardian of.

Please note, some plans may state that there has to be a legal relationship between stepparent and stepchild, meaning the stepparent has to be married to the child&#039;s biological parent. It&#039;s important to verify with the carrier whether that is a requirement if the stepparent is not married to the child&#039;s biological parent.
