		<description><![CDATA[Well, first there is the obvious and that is that you will no longer have car insurance.  NOw, most if not all states require the maintenance of auto insurance as a condition of registrationm so if the policy lapses,  here in Connecticut and probably in most states, the insurance company will notify the state Department of Motor Vehicles of the lapse.  DMV will then require that one shows proof that they had coverage elsewhere and if they can&#039;t then there is a fine levied and the registration is cancelled making the car illegal to drive on public access roads and highways.]]></description>
