		<description><![CDATA[PIP refers to Personal Injury Protection.  Many states require primary medical coverage as a condition of insurance policies issued in those states.  In many cases, PIP included this primary medical benefit in addition to some limited disability.  States like Connecticut changed their laws and such coverage is now no longer mandatory.  It was replaced with voluntary Primary Medical coverage without any disability benefit included.]]></description>
