&quot;Full coverage&quot; (I&#039;m not a fan of that term) has nothing to do with UM coverage. Full coverage refers to having comprehensive and collision coverage on your vehicle.

The reason you sign a UM rejection letter is to acknowledge that you were offered UM coverage, but didn&#039;t want it. A lot of injured drivers later go on to file suit against their agent, claiming that they weren&#039;t offered coverage. This rejection letter simply covers the agent from that happening.]]></description>
