Great question! The answer will make you happy - no, getting quotes will not affect your credit score. Unlike loan inquiries, which can affect your score ( unless you actually get a loan or credit card within 30 days of the initial inquiry, then the credit companies realize you were shopping for the best deal, and do not ding your score) quotes will have no bearing upon your score at all. The best way to look at it is like this- if it will affect your risk for getting credit, it can hurt your score. If you are protecting your investments or credit, it won't. I hope that helps you feel better! If you need help, please feel free to contact me. Thanks for asking!
