You always need to check with your annuity provider before using any quotes. Currently: the 5 year rate is 2.95%, the 7 year is 3.20% and the ten year rate is 3.25%. It doesn’t make much sense to lock down a ten year rate for an extra 35 basis points over the five year rate. The recent Fed statements have generated speculation that rates in 2014 are going to rise.
