    VGLI stand for Veterans Group Life Insurance and is life insurance for persons who have served in the uniformed services. It is Term life insurance that can go up in price at regular intervals. Neither SGLI or VGLI is available in Whole Life and cannot be converted to Whole Life. To get permanent coverage you would want to purchase a private policy.
