   Great question.  Normally your Medicare card is sent in the mail 3 months before your 65th birthday.  However, sometimes you have to apply and you can do this by visiting you social security office or website.  Once you are eligible for Medicare, a broker should be able to help you understand it further as well as help you explore your options.
