    Auto insurance protects you in several ways. First, when you have an accident your policy will pay for the damages to your car and the other persons car. Second, when you have an accident your policy provides liability coverage to cover the other persons injuries. It is very important to make sure your policy has enough coverage because if not you can end up in court and a very large bill. Auto insurance also provides coverage for you if someone hits you and they don't have insurance or have enough insurance. Again, it is very important to discuss your policy with an independent agent to make sure you have the proper coverage.
