When your life insurance or health insurance application is taken, your agent may ask you then for a time and date that you would like to take your exam, and order it for you. Or you may be asked for the time and date you want to set up your exam while doing a telephone interview with a representative for the life insurance company. In these situations, the company that does your exam (commonly called "paramed" companies) will later call you to confirm your appointment and provide you with a phone number you can call to make any changes.
If your agent or case manager orders the life or health insurance exam for you without talking to you first, the paramed examiner will call you directly to set it up. If you do not hear from them within a few days after submitting your application, contact your agent.

How to schedule a life insurance exam? This is a pretty common question I run across. People think they have to schedule an appointment with their doctor for a life exam. Actually, when you apply for life insurance a 3rd party examination company will contact you to schedule an appointment at home or work to meet and do your medical history questions and blood/urine draws and a few other things depending on age and face amount.
If your agent or case manager orders the life or health insurance exam for you without talking to you first, the paramed examiner will call you directly to set it up. If you do not hear from them within a few days after submitting your application, contact your agent.
