   Beginning in 2014, most individuals will be required by Obamacare to purchase health insurance or provide proof of health insurance coverage through an employer or government health insurance plan. Your plan must meet the minimum requirements as specified by Obamacare or else you will pay a penalty tax. For individuals the penalty starts at $95 per year or 1% of your income, whichever is greater.
