Does My Spouse Have My Auto Insurance?

While she may be covered if she is not listed, since she is a member of your household, it could present a problem down the road. If your spouse has several DUI's for example and you failed to list him or her on your policy, then the company would probably pay the claim but then you would be cancelled or have a major rate increase. It is always best to make sure all drivers in your house are either listed as drivers or specifically excluded from your policy. If they are excluded then do not let them drive your car unless they have their own policy.Answered on April 20, 2013flag this answer
